Labor-Only Service
For those customers who would prefer to source and supply their own materials, RBB offers our “labor-only” service for your build-to-print electronic assemblies and control panels.
Review the checklist below for how best to supply RBB with your parts kit. Following these simple guidelines vastly improves the chances of success on the very first run of any assembly.
Residual parts that are left over from labor-only jobs will be shipped with the finished assemblies unless directed otherwise.
Guidelines for Customer Supplied Parts
Upon arrival at RBB Systems, your parts kit will be audited relative to your packing list for quantity shipped, quality, and identification.
In order for RBB Systems to provide you with quality, cost-effective product in a timely manner, we request that these factors be considered in preparing your parts shipment.
B.O.M. should include the following information:
- Quantity per unit
- Reference Designators
- Mfg. & Mfg. part numbers
- Package Type
- Description
- Do Not Populates
For SMT components:
- Reeled components or continuous cut tape with leaders, if possible.
- At least 20 pieces or 5% extra on Passives (Resistors/Caps), whichever is greater
- At least 5 pieces or 2% extra on Actives(IC’s), whichever is greater
- 1 to 2 extra on larger parts
- Trays or tube feeders as required
Additionally:
- Original packaging and ESD protection is preferred.
- Loose SMT components that will require hand placement should be identified.
- Please label packaging with the same part numbers indicated on your B.O.M. with substitutions referenced.
