PCB Board Assembly

For the client that chooses to supply or kit their own parts and components, RBB is more than happy to assist with the labor portion of the job. We can help with any build-to-print assemblies, including PCB board assembly and more.

For effective quality in the board or surface mount assembly, it is vital that the correct parts are kitted and sent to RBB. From the BOM, we need to know the quantity per unit, the reference designators, all part numbers, packaging, and descriptions. For some custom jobs and SMT components, we will need a variety of spare and extra components. Please refer to our web page regarding labor services to see a comprehensive list.

Providing ample information and accurate parts and descriptions will help us do our part more effectively and can help optimize time and money.

Surface Mount Assembly

RBB Systems focuses on the small batch market, which often means custom assemblies, special orders, and meeting the unique needs of our customers. For example, you may need a surface mount assembly, but wish to kit all of the components yourself. At RBB, we can help you by offering a labor only quote.

Once your PCB board assembly order is complete, you will receive any residual parts with the final batch of assemblies unless other arrangements are made in advance.

Labor Only Jobs

There are some considerations to keep in mind when submitting a labor only task to RBB. We prefer to receive parts with ESD protection and parts in their original packaging. Also, please give us as much information as possible regarding the status of the parts, such as loose SMT parts that may need placement by hand. Lastly, everything should be clearly labeled and all substitutions should be referenced.
