Shreve, OH, February 26, 2007 – RBB Systems today announced its plans to consolidate operations in its Wooster, Ohio, facility by the end of summer, 2007.  The move of employees, equipment, and inventory is already underway.  Plans detail a more efficient production layout and additional offices to accommodate all current RBB employees. 

RBB Systems has been headquartered in Shreve, Ohio, since its inception in 1973.  In 2001, the company opened a facility in Wooster to meet rapidly growing demand for custom electronic assemblies.  RBB has operated out of both locations ever since.

80% of the operation is already in place in Wooster, so the move is expected to be completely transparent to customers.  In announcing the move, Chief Executive Officer Bruce Hendrick stated, “The fifteen miles that separate Shreve and Wooster might not seem like much, but in a rapid response business, every minute counts!  Restoring 100% of our talent under one roof provides better cost control, faster turnaround on customer orders, and perhaps just as important – crisp decision making in a very dynamic marketplace.”

Hendrick went on to say, “The aftermath of the dot-bomb era is ancient history at RBB.  Over the past five years, we have invested heavily in our technology, employees, business practices (ERP, LEAN manufacturing, etc.), and sales force.   We are now uniquely positioned for continued healthy growth throughout the region and nationally.  Our facility consolidation is the last major piece of the puzzle.  It unleashes the full power of the organization.”

RBB has enjoyed strong business and community relationships in both Wayne and Holmes Counties for 34 years.  “Our decision to consolidate in Wooster in no way diminishes our commitment to the long term success of both areas,” explained Hendrick.  “A strong and vibrant RBB, which employs 85 people from both sides of the county line, is good for everyone!”

AAC Device Give-Away Program for
Individuals with Disabilities

Leading electronics services provider has partnered
with PRC to award free AAC devices & accessories to
40 speech-impaired children and adults worldwide

Shreve, OH, – RBB Systems, Inc, a full service provider of electrical and electronic design and assembly services, has donated 10 headpointers to support the “40 for 40” Program launched earlier this year by Prentke Romich Company (PRC) of Wooster, OH.

In celebration of its 40th year as a worldwide leader in the field of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) technology, PRC is donating 40 of its powerful speech-output devices to individuals with disabilities who lack funding assistance and would not otherwise be able to obtain a communication aid.

Headpointers from RBB Systems enable persons with limited upper and lower body movement to direct select keys on the PRC devices using an extension device mounted
to a headpiece.

RBB Systems, which has provided PRC with custom electronics for nearly 25 years, was eager to participate in the device give-away program. “RBB Systems is highly honored
