In 2003, the European Union passed legislation that restricts the use of particular substances in electrical and electronic equipment starting July 1, 2006. The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive requires that certain substances be eliminated from most electrical and electronic equipment. The restricted substance of greatest impact to the electronics industry is lead.
RBB Systems has been proactively working to help our customers become RoHS compliant. As a first step in ensuring compliance, the existence of any of the restricted substances in products must be determined.
RBB Systems provides free RoHS conversion assessment for our customer’s bills to determine current part compliance, parts that have compliant conversions and parts that need further evaluation for compliance conversion.
Our EST Engineering services team will research non-compliant parts needing further evaluation for either drop-in replacement or to determine if re-design is necessary to convert bills for 100% compliance.
RBB insures your RoHS compliance with:
•
Dedicated lead-free production lines
•
Separate storage locations
•
Unique part numbers
•
Tracking from order entry to shipping
We’re doing all we can to make the transition to lead-free production as painless as possible for our customers. We can do the same for you.
