RBB is an electronics job shop specializing in small batch client needs. We have observed over the course of our experience that one, the low volume electronic contract manufacturing jobs are very different from the larger jobs; and, two, that larger CMs focus primarily on the higher volume jobs, discouraging and underserving the small batch customer.

RBB Systems has devised a solution to meet this client need. We have no interest in the larger jobs; instead we have chosen to build our business model around the small batch electronics job shop configuration. This approach allows us to stay competitive in this sector of the market and meet client needs cost effectively.

How do we manage this job shop to achieve great results for our clients?

First, we've applied LEAN concepts to our business and job shop structure. Secondly, we've developed a practice of "swarming" that directs personnel to work logically where the most urgency or greatest need exists at any given time. This environment of "perpetual changeover" keeps our costs down, our quality high, and our low volume electronics contract manufacturing clients happy.
